I know the first day of school is a month away,
but this is the time of year that I just love. It is prepping season for the
2015-2016 school year! Woo Woo!
For the next couple of weeks, I’ll park myself
on the couch, turn on the TODAY show, sip on my Starbucks and tackle project
after project in hopes of being overly prepared for the first few weeks of
school. I usually don’t get done nearly as much as I hope to, but I think that’s
just part of being a teacher.
Last year was my first year using an interactive
math journal, and I really liked how my students had a running account of
everything we learned. I especially liked how useful the journal was once we
entered STAAR prep in the spring. I’m looking forward to using the journal
again this year….BUT, I’m trying to make it better. So I’m putting together my
own interactive math journal.
Here are a few pictures of what I’ve been working
on. If you have any feedback or suggestions I’d love to hear them!
I’m hoping I can finish this project before
school starts!!!
